Sustainable together
MKW and Magna Böco carry out green engineering to perfection
A particularly far-reaching project is pending between MKW and Magna Böco. In this project, an aging production line will be modernised and converted. At first glance, this is nothing new, but the sustainability factor of this project makes it special.
Both companies have decided to produce as little metal scrap as possible, making the project particularly efficient and significant for the future.
About 80% of the plant will be recycled in the newly constructed plant. At the same time, the production line will be modernised in order to continue to operate sustainably in later production operations.
This effective "facelift" not only saves material resources. The factors work, time and money are also saved.
"Sustainability should not only be considered as a private person. Also as a company in mechanical engineering one should look carefully where the environment can be protected and resources saved. Implementing a project in this form is new for us, but we hope to be able to carry out more significant projects like this in the future," says MKW project manager Marco Horn.
