AI-MAP

Cooperation Network for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Machinery, Equipment, and Manufacturing
KI-MAP – Logo of the KI-MAP Initiative

MKW is part of the KI-MAP cooperation network, in which experts from research and academia work closely with machinery and equipment manufacturers to optimize and further develop the practical application of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Through continuous exchange among network members, data science methods and mechanical challenges are brought together, and research is conducted to identify ideal solutions and new technologies. Scientists collaborate with suppliers and users on innovative products and technologies that can generate new ideas and approaches to existing problems and challenges. A lively exchange of expertise and experience among members drives this process forward more quickly than pure research without input from the field.

KI-MAP has set itself the goal of bringing Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence together and developing synergies from this combination. The results can include data-driven process optimizations, self-learning machine settings, or predictive maintenance, among other things.
